    Hi all,
I am looking to upgrade the manufactory exhaust on my 2016 Roadmaster.
Right now I am leaning towards the Vance and Hines Decline exhaust because I like the look and it has a toll that won't break the banking concern.
I am not crazy about the expect of the Rinehard slip-ons.
The Indian Stage I exhaust is around $1K once you include the tips.

    So here are my questions:
Is it worth the extra money for the Phase I exhaust?
Are performance and sound that dissimilar from 1 brand to another? Or, is it ok to select by looks?
Do I need to remap with just the slip-on upgrade?
Should I upgrade the intake at the aforementioned fourth dimension?
Tin can I apply any intake with whatsoever frazzle?

All comments are welcome. If y'all know of some other brand that may fit on my wheel, delight let me know.

    Thanks in advance
    Scott

  2. If you desire the sharp bark sound of each cylinder firing, then yous will never become information technology with simply slipons. The ii-ane-two exhaust aids in cancelling that pressure(sound).
In order to become that audio, you are going to take to change the header into a two-2 or 2-1 setup, 2-2 being the one with the sharpest audio.
I run Liberty Functioning Truthful Dual headers and the stock slip ons with the plug punched out. It'south fairly tranquillity, but still has the sharp bark.

The Stage1 flash covers both the sideslip on's and high flow Ac regardless of the maker. If you add a fuel controller you lot can circumvent the Stage1 flash.

Indian Stage1 slip on's come upwardly for auction on the used market adequately often and buying them will save you lot a chunk. Depending on where get them, y'all can get them new for considerably less than $1,000, Nosotros see them new from $750 upward. Used they can exist had for between $400 to $550.
Like Dan mentioned, you can knock the plugs out of your stock skid on's and go a nice mellow sound that betters with mileage. The coin you salvage could become toward Liberty True Duel Headers (for around $550) which will give you a prissy sound, improve your performance and lessen the heat coming from the rear cylinder. Or you lot could buy a Loydz Air conditioning, which costs about one-half of what the Indian High Flow unit costs, and it performs better. So says Loydz anyway. Or you could purchase a M&North air filter to fit the Indian air box at your local car parts store for a fleck over $50 bucks that will make information technology breathe considerably better.

Were it my bike, I would knock out the plugs at present. Doing and so will give y'all a prissy rumble, put a smile on your face and you won't have to wink it. I footstep further, get the Yard&N filter and buy a Stage1 flash menu on evilbay for $fifty. Near dealers would flash the bike for yous when you lot accept it in for service for null if yous provide the card. Some may want to striking yous up for $50 bucks but if you lot have whatever relationship at all with your dealer they shouldn't charge you much if anything.
Knocking the plugs out, adding the M&N filter, buying and doing the Stage1 flash volition set you back perchance $125 and give you a scrap more ability and ameliorate sound without breaking the banking company. Then y'all can start searching for a dainty set of used slip on's and whatsoever AC y'all prefer.
Yous take many options, some pricey some non and so much. But keep reading and asking questions.

Hey Scott. I just realized I have a set of the stock pipes with the plugs punched out down in my basement. Your more than welcome to try them out to see if you like the audio. They probably have only 2000 miles on them.

I installed the rush skid ons with iii" baffles. Crawly sound. Had to remap.
  6. I accept the Freedom Performance headers with Lloydz skid-ons (baffles removed) and intake. Sound is very deep, just no bark. I am using the Dobeck EJK tuner.
